How we check prices.

Where prices come from

We copy each price from the venue's own pricing or open-play page. We show the exact words, the page address and the date we read it.

What a price covers

A 1-hour pass, a 90-minute session and an all-day pass are different things, so every price shows what it covers, in the venue's own words. If the page doesn't say, we write “Visit length not stated”. Compare like with like.

What we leave out

Birthday party, event, membership, punch-card and extra-adult prices are not open-play admission, so the main price never uses them. We show adults-free and sock rules only when the page says so in words we can quote.

One child

The price is for one child. Many venues charge less for siblings or by age or day of the week; when that is on the page it is noted on the venue's page.

When a place gets a page

A state page appears once five venues there pass the check. A metro page needs five venues from at least three different businesses, and shows at most three locations of any one business. Other places appear on their state page and the national table.
